Аналіз напрямків інвестування недержавних пенсійних фондів

Abstract

Розглянуто та проаналізовано основні напрямки інвестування недержавних пенсійних фондів в Україні, структуру інвестиційних портфелів, а також проведено порівняння із напрямками інвестування зарубіжних недержавних пенсійних фондів,визначаються причини тих чи інших напрямків інвестування та ризики у діяльності недержавних пенсійних фондів. Досліджено інвестиційні стратегії недержавних пенсійних фондів та їхню ефективність на ринку капіталу України. Крім цього, у статті окреслено основні проблеми у ході формування інвестиційних портфелів недержавних пенсійних фондів в Україні. Практична значущість теми вимагає дослідження, оскільки є малодослідженою та необхідною в період інтеграції фінансового простору України у світове економічне господарство

Ukrainian pension system nowadays is based on three pillars method and is only at the starting period. The third pillar non-governmental pension funds are not such effective as could be. Many problems are surrounded with their functionality, especially weak economic situation, undeveloped fund market and awareness of such funds which has been left in social mind from communism time. One of the most influential factors in overcoming this is the total growth of nation’s welfare but it will not happen in the short run as it could take a lot of time to strengthen the economic situation in Ukraine. Main investment strategies directions of non-governmental pension funds in Ukraine and structure of investment portfolios are considered and analyzed in the article. The parallel comparison analysis with foreign non-governmental pension funds is made. On the other hand the conditions of choosing each specific portfolio investment strategy in non-liquid capital market are also identified. The key functional risks in operation of Ukrainian non-governmental pension funds arise from this side. The major risk is closely connected with low strategy variability due to insufficient fund market in Ukraine. The other risks have operational and social nature. The problems of choosing investment strategy are not widely analyzed by domestic scientists and will be quite interesting to look over in developing markets like Ukraine. Strategies used by Ukrainian non-governmental pension funds are less risky than foreign ones. Ukrainian funds invests mainly in less risky deposit instruments while foreign ones are more relaxed with investment instruments and invest mainly in shares and bonds. This eventually demonstrates the level of the fund market development in a country, its liquidity and profitability, risk factors. The practical importance of this study requires a research as it is not researched enough and is necessary during the period of Ukrainian financial market integration into the world economic sector.
