The article analyses different approaches to understanding the concept of globalization. It was generalized that academic and professional discussions on globalization can be generally summarized under three schools of thought: the hyperglobalizers, the skeptics, and the transformationalists. The author’s main attention was focused on summarizing the authorial views of hiperglobalistic trend of world economic development in the light of their relation to the state's role in this process. Generally, hiperglobalists believe that humanity has entered a new era of globalization, which is characterized by a strong influence of the new order of the world market in all spheres of human life. Representatives of this conceptual approach to globalization emphasize the fact that nation-states generally lose opportunities to take an active, effective position in the economic area. The basic concepts and mechanisms of international interactions are transformed according to the transition from national-subjective relations to patterns of international and global actors. It was found, that the common thesis of hiperglobalists is prevention of many state functions as institutional structures because of overflow to multinational groups, global production, trade and financial networks. According to the incomplete attempts to solve the challenges of this issue, there is a need for further study on the restructuring of the world economic space according to new challenges and threats to the global economy.
