Readiness to the professional activities under systems approach from the positions on those results which will match training of specialist for professional activities on the basis of social and public demand for specialists is considered. The students (graduates, future engineers in specialty “Electrical Engineering Power Consumption Systems”) professional training evaluation results are presented. The need to abandon the orientation only on subject knowledge and skills during the training of future engineer is determined. The analysis of the research testifies that professional readiness of future engineers is a decisive condition which helps young specialist to successfully implement their professional functions and requires further professional development. “Professional readiness”, as defined in the literature, is the process of forming the aggregate professional knowledge, skills, attributes of work experience and behavior enabling successful professional activity. Today, there are different approaches to the problem of determining the graduates readiness to the profession. However, there is no such an approach which would get full and absolute acceptance. The readiness of the individual to a professional activity is determined. It testifies about the development level of its main substructures: professional orientation, professional competence which includes knowledge and skills in chosen specialty; mental processes which include perception, memory, thinking, will, feelings and temperament characteristics, sex and age characteristics. To analyze the students professional readiness the questionnaire of professional readiness by L.N. Kabardova was used. 25 students of a given specialty studying in the fifth (final) year were surveyed with this questionnaire. Only 44 % of graduates of the specialty “Electrical Engineering Power Consumption Systems” positively assess themselves as a subject of future professional activity and seek to deal with it after graduation.
